Deleting objects |

When I try to delete an object that is used by another object I get an error message, eg
ERROR: cannot drop view "vlistQuote" because other objects depend on it
This is good of course, but it would be nice if the error message also mentionned which ones.
An (more flexible) alterative would be a dependency browser. Bart Degryse / Indicator NV |

Hi,
The dependency browser exists in fact and it is available in the DBManager Professional Enterprise Edition 3.1.0 only. We intend for future versions implement some shortcuts in this browser to perform some operations like:
- change object properties
- create new objects
- drop existent objects
See also that this error message is generated by the database server and not the DBManager. As a matter of fact DBManager is not aware that it couldn't drop the object because of the dependency.
Which database server and version are you using in this case?
Best Regards,
