Export NULL in Tab delimited text file (937 previews)
Export NULL in Tab delimited text file Posted in 22th, 11/2004 01:31 by arr242
How do I get Export to put the word NULL in the .txt file for fields that have a value of NULL? I use tab delimited text files with no quoting of text strings, and for fields with a value of NULL there is nothing between the tabs in the file.

Hi,

This is supposed to work when the field content (between field separators) is empty. The Wizard will consider empty fields as NULL, automatically.

PS: This may cause problem if the field is set with not null flag. Another thing you may consider is the fact that mysql 4.1.7 has a few problems concerning INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE in DBManager 3.0, which may lead to a wrong problem. We have fixed this already and it should be out this week.
