DBManager Catalog Posted in 30th, 10/2004 03:13 by pscott829
I loaded the DBManager Professional and I tried to figure out (according to the Help documentation) how to load the right catalog. I don't understand the instructions from Help. Could someone pleeeeeease walk me through this process. I know that is says I'm not supposed to use the default catalog, but if I'm the only user on the pc isn't that okay?

Hi,

If you are using the 2.3.0 version it will load the catalog at startup from the "My Documents/DBManagerPro/DATA/" folder. You don't have to open the default catalog even if you are the only user in the workstation.
We have changed this in 2.3.0 so any user using one PC can share the same installation without massing up another user's information from the catalog. The default catalog is an empty database used to create nw user profiles.

Are you having problems using the default user's catalog at startup?

Best Regards,

I'm having problems with the catalog file. Because it's in UTF-6 and the program is unable to use it, so I'm not able to use the software. What should I do?????????????
