-
If you intend to
Import/Export data using MS Access, MS FoxPro, Paradox and ODBC
data sources you need at least DAO 3.51 (MSOffice 97) installed
with the correct ISAM drivers. DAO 3.51 is shipped with the Professional Version. for older versions you may need to download the drivers directly from the microsoft website
-
To Import/Export
using MSOffice 2000 files you need DAO 3.6 version, shipped with
MS Office 2000. The latest DAO drivers version 3.6 are available
to download at
www.microsoft.com. You can find the drivers at the link
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q239/1/14.ASP
. This is useful for those who wants to import/convert MS Access
2000 databases, but don't have MS Office installed.
-
Since the
detection of the DAO drivers version is not automatic with
MSOffice 2000 files, check Settings => Data => Use DAO 3.6
and DBTools Manager will use the drivers from the latest version.
-
If you have
MSOffice 2000 installed and the DAO 3.6 is not visible to other
applications, find the location of DAO*.DLL (I.E. DAO350.DLL or DAO360.DLL) files and put the
folder in the PATH environment var. This only happens with
MSOffice 2000 on Windows 2000.
