import to MySQL from MS Access 2003 (1790 previews)
import to MySQL from MS Access 2003 Posted in 23th, 12/2008 08:29 by harry_mossman
I have successfully imported two fairly small tables. For two other, larger but not huge tables, I get Couldn't

ERROR: Couldn't get information about table (table name)

The whole Access database is only about 13 MB, so these tables are a lot less than that.

What is going on here?

Hi,

I think the problem here is something else, as DBManager can handle any table size. Check the table structure in MSAccess to see if there are columns not supported for conversions. For example, Oracle has a builtin datatype object which cannot be converted to other SQL Servers directly.
If you can describe the MSAccess table and send us additional information about your system:

- Windows and MSAccess versions
- MySQL server version

Yes, thanks. Not knowing much of anything about MySQL, I had screwed up the table titles.
