Hi Fabio,

Yes, it is possible and very simple actually.
Follow the steps:

- Create a Dump Wizard Definition. For that start the Wizards Manager and select the Dump option. At the end save the definition so you can use it in future tasks

- Now you have 2 options:

1) The easiest way is to use the command line parameters (documented in DBManager's manual) to execute this wizard in background. You can create a schedule in Windows Control Panel to execute this job in any day/time you wish

2) Or, you can create a task and insert the Dump Wizard you have previously created. The Task Builder can also be executed from command line and have more options like query execution, import/export data, etc. Using this feature you can for example, prepare your data and then migrate it to whatever target suits your needs.

Hope that helps, but if you need additional information don't hesitate to ask us.

Thanks for your fast help!
I've created the backup copy via dump wizard , but the second step give me some problem: where the definition dump are saved?
I will create a task using windows schedule task (in windows server control panel) but in the list is indicated nothing about this wizard ... So I thik: "ok, I'll browse on the disk"... well... but where? I also try to scan all the disk searching the name of dump definition file whit no success.
Where I wrong? Please, gimme an helpening hand and thanks again.

Hi Fabio,

You can find the Wizard Definition in the Workspace Tree. Click on the [My Tools] icon on the Workspace toolbar and you will see a list of:

- Queries
- Dump Wizard Definitions
- Data (Import/Export) Wizard Definitions
- Text Wizard Definitions
- Tasks

Select the appropriated item and a list of all definitions will appear. To use it in the command line you just need to use the parameter to execute the wizard and its name.

If you need additional info just let us know ok.

Hi and thanks again.
I've found the saved dump definitions and clicking on a single one the dump starts and works fine.
Now, I try to create a task... but in the "My Tools" list there are no obects called Data (Import/Export) Wizard Definitions, Text Wizard Definitions, Tasks.
I don't know if this is a problem... maybe the installation is incomplete? Anyway when, talking about the command line, you say "you just need to use the parameter to execute the wizard and its name" please tell me: what kind of parameter should I use? Using Right Click (on a saved Dump Definition) no useful option (except the "view" ones) are present. I've tried to explore also the menu and toolbar whit no success.
I'm sure that, after this last step, all will works fine, but I need to understand how to schedule a dump definition.
Please, give me a little light in this dark and stormy night
Bye
