Filtering table lists? (1504 previews)
Filtering table lists? Posted in 01th, 08/2006 12:19 by deinspanjer
I'm connecting to an Oracle db that has 120 tables. I changed the details view pagination to 0 so I could see them all, but it sure would be nice to have some sort of filtering mechanism like the MSSQL 2005 workbench that could let me quickly view the subset that I'm interested in.

Hi Daniel,

This is planned for DBManager 4. This version will allow for example to show tables from specific owner/schema. Also we are creating a box to type a string to match against table names. The reason we are implementing this is because one of our users uses SAP, with about 29000 tables. It is really a pain to list them all.

PS: The pagination in the Details View was created to the purposes of making this task a little easier. We know that is not a best choice. Talking to the developers we may be able to implement this for DBManager 3 as well.

Thanks for the feedback.

Best Regards,
