Hi,

Have a problem with the way you open Oracle tables in DB Manager. We work on a Peoplesoft system with 6 schemas and about 34000 table in a schema so the SID got about +-210000 tables (YES you read correctly). Now to open a user/schema it every time takes one proccesser of our server 25 min to scan through all the table to see hoe they belong to, so reducing the preformance of the Database Server. With Oracle Enterprise it only takes about 60 sec at most.

Hi,

Have you tried to disable Preferences=>Data=>Enable COUNT(*)?
This options ia activated by default and executes a SELECT COUNT(*) FORM TABLE in order to count its records. As you have lots of tables this should be turned off to avoid slow processes.

Best Regards,
