Import from Text files |

Wonderful product!! (2.3.0 Freeware Edition)
I have a suggestion in the import functionality:
After I choose the file to be imported, the "delimited mode", the other option, I have the "Automap" opportunity
to describe the structure of the final table in which I import the data.
When i import into an existing table, I *must* describe the
field, size *exactly* as the table destination.
I think it was better if at this time I may choose the table destination, better the structure of the table destination, without the need to manually rewrite the structure of the table destination (that is already know)
Bye,
Massimo Ferrari

Hi,
I took note of that. Thanks for the feedback.

I agree...EXCELLENT PRODUCT!
I would also like to see an option for an 'Other' category when importing 'Delimited' files.
For Example, I have a large data set delimited by a ~ and I am not able to import directly into MySQL. The only options for delimited files is 'Tab', 'Semicolon', 'Comma', and 'Spaces'.
Keep up the great work... DBManager is an EXCELLENT PRODUCT!
Thanks, Phil Seykora |
